I Luv Voo!

I am so amazed as I watch Ella (19mos) grow. She's talking so much and has become so loving lately. Night before last as she played, she made repeated trips back and forth between Keith and I to hug and kiss us followed by a big "I Luv Voo" Mommy (or Daddy), dancing, spinning, and acting silly as she went. Our hearts swelled and we of course joyfully sat and soaked in as much loving as she wanted to give out! Something indescribable happens inside a mother and father when they hear that beautiful little voice say "I Luv Voo" (and then to hear it over and over...Wow!). After putting her to bed, she continued to call out to us just so we would ask the anticipated question "What dear?"...her license to add just one more "I Luv Voo" before the end of the day. I'm telling you, all that loving made me long to be with her even more.

As I processed my day, It was apparent to me how our Daddy in heaven must feel when we pour out our "I Love You's" on him. That's where I want to be, repeatedly pouring out I Love You's in childish abandon on my God. Dancing, spinning, and rejoicing without even taking pause to consider what the P.D.A. (Public Displays of Adoration...as Tommy Tenny calls it)Police may think. I choose to respond with all the Adoration I can muster to the incredible love, grace and mercy he has bestowed upon me.

Seek to Find

Fourteen years ago God dropped a wonderful man into my life. I knew this "Devine" guy was for me, so I chose to marry him and we have now been married 13 1/2 years, have a beautiful little girl and are working on the "happily ever after". My husbands father was a Pastor, my husband is a Pastor, and his brother is a Pastor. What a legacy! I have truly been blessed with "Devine" Inspiration over the years as Keith and his brother have sought God's will for their lives and their families. As great as that is, what I really seek in my every day life is divine inspiration. That which comes from the Spirit of God himself. In this blog you will read about the happenings of our family, but I primarily began this blog as a personal challenge to become increasingly more aware of the divine inspiration that is present in my ordinary, everyday life.

Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Welcome!

Wow, I'm blogging. Who would have thought! I've recently been contemplating the idea and decided to go for it. So, welcome to the world of the Devine's. I look forward to sharing my thoughts!
