The last few weeks have been no exception. Here are a few precious statements/conversations I don't want to forget:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Dear Jesus, please come down, put your hands on me and pray for me."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ella - "I want to pray for Jesus Mommy." Me - "Okay Ella, what would you like to pray?" Ella - "God, please take care of Jesus. Please take care of the Shepherds and the sheep. Please take care of all the people down here and up there. Please take are of the farms and farmers down here and up there. Please take care of Israel. Please take care of Mary &amp;amp; Joseph. Please take care of my family and help my Daddy find a job. "&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keith - "...that dadblamed stuff." Ella - "Daddy you always call stuff dadblamed" You shouldn't say that. Keith - "Okay, but why not Ella?" Ella - "I want people to think we are happy and a good family. Not a family that says dadblamed."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"I sure love my Daddy."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Can't we just sell our house and move in with Grammy? I really like it there, it's special to me."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ella - "Daddy did you find a job yet?" Keith - "Not yet Baby." Ella - "We'll you could rake leaves or wash cars you know." Keith - "Yes, I guess I could." Ella - "You should be a race car driver. You drive very good, so you'd be really great at it."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ella - "Mommy, Matt has a job!" (we've been praying for Matt to find a job for a while now) Me - "Yes, he's working a part time job. That's really great, but he is still looking for a full time job." Ella - "What is he doing Mommy?" Me - "He's working at a garage fixing cars." Ella - laughs and says, "He used to fix race cars didn't he? And now he's fixing regular cars?." I can't believe it! Doesn't seem possible it's been 4 years. Daddy &amp;amp; I decided we wanted to get her an outdoor playset for her birthday. We searched and searched and finally found an affordable set that fits our yard perfectly. Keith worked Friday (8th) and Sunday afternoon (9th) putting it together while I distracted Ella to make sure she didn't see what was happening. Amazingly we pulled it off! Normally she would have been going outside to find her Daddy, but she never even tried...not even once.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sunday afternoon (9th), Mammaw &amp;amp; Pappaw and Grammy &amp;amp; Poppa came to visit (they blessed us by going in with us on the swingset) and we gave Ella her big surprise. It was lots of fun playing and eating pizza with them all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, Happy Birthday my sweet girl. A couple weeks ago I finally got brave enough to start taking advantage of the CVS Extra Care Bucks program. While it seemed intimidating at first, it has definitely paid off and I am a loyal CVS customer now. I have also continued to get some awesome grocery store deals since my last post. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Today, I reviewed the CVS weekly deals and game plan for this week on southernsavers.com (my absolute favorite site for couponing - to date : ) . Southernsavers.com breaks down the CVS plan and makes it easy to grasp. I have never really been a coupon clipper - I've tried, but never really followed through. The amount of planning and time investment didn't seem to be worth it to me. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div&gt;Well, when backed into a corner, we all tend to come out kicking. And kicking I am, with great determination, to reduce our grocery bill in half (OR BETTER). There are so many items you can get for free with doubling and tripling of coupons, that it is important to make sure you take advantage of those deals. I've learned that stockpiling is a good idea. If I do this thing right, I should rarely have to buy anything at full price. With a stockpile, I should be able to be selective and only buy when something is on sale &amp;amp;/or I have a coupon. In just one month, I am well on my way to a great stockpile (just need somewhere to put it all : ) . I have chosen a verse for the week from Romans 4...verse 25...I am committing to write this word on my heart this week and wanted to share it with all of my dear family and friends.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;“He (Jesus Christ) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”  Romans 4:25&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to the Merrian-Webster Online Dictionary, the following is the definition of justify, justified, justification (the act of being justified)…&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;transitive verb1 a: to prove or show to be just, right, or reasonable b (1): to show to have had a sufficient legal reason (2): to qualify (oneself) as a surety by taking oath to the ownership of sufficient property2 aarchaic : to administer &lt;a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/justice"&gt;justice&lt;/a&gt; to barchaic : &lt;a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/absolve"&gt;absolve&lt;/a&gt; c: to judge, regard, or treat as righteous and worthy of salvation 3 a: to space (as lines of text) so that the lines come out even at the margin b: to make even by &lt;a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/justifying"&gt;justifying&lt;/a&gt; &lt;justified&gt;intransitive verb1 a: to show a sufficient lawful reason for an act done b: to qualify as bail or surety2: to justify lines of text&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;An easy way to remember the definition of justification is this simple statement…just as if I never sinned.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I encourage you to read the entire passage (Romans 4) that comes before this scripture so you will have an understanding of the context of the scripture.  The heart of the passage is this…&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Abraham was justified by faith.  He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.  David said, “Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.  Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will NEVER count against him.” (Ps. 32:1,2; Rom. 4:7-8).  Abraham’s promise came by faith out of grace and is guaranteed to all his offspring.  The awesome part is that according to scripture, “He is the father of us all.” (Rom. 4:16)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even though Sarah’s womb was dead and Abraham was ~100 years old, he believed against all hope and became the father of many nations. “Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.  This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness”.  The words “it was credited to him” were not written for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness – for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.” (Rom. 20-24)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How incredible it is to know that we don’t have to strive to earn grace, to be righteous and worthy of salvation – our belief in the work of Christ has justified us and that belief is credited to us as righteousness.  Therefore, WE ARE ALREADY RIGHTEOUS IN HIS EYES! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My prayer today is…&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Lord help my unbelief.  Help me to never waver regarding your promise.  Help me to be strengthened in my faith and give glory to you in all things.  Help me to act with the resolve of being fully persuaded that you have the power to do what you have promised.  Thank you for crediting my belief as righteousness.  Thank you that I do not have to strive to be worthy of your salvation.  Thank you for this incredible gift of fresh, new, beautiful LIFE you have given me.  I rejoice in the hope you have poured out to me. The discussion was about whether our families would/should participate. It was a short conversation, respectful of those Christian families (like mine) that do. The conversation led me to revisit the whole thought process of why Christians should or should not choose to take part in this holiday. How do we justify being excited about a holiday that is steeped in such darkness...so in opposition to the spirit within us?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yes, Halloween is fun, especially for our children - and the candy - YUM! But there has to be more to this decision than fun &amp;amp; candy. Our belief system has to take us deeper than that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I grew up with strong, very active, Chrisitian parents. We were highly involved in the church from as early as I can remember. As young children, we dressed up and went trick or treating every year. As we grew a little older and my parents grew in their faith and began to experience a more charismatic lifestyle, they chose for our family not to participate in the holiday. We were part of a church that led families in that direction and also took the stance that the church would not participate by having trunk or treats, fall festivals, etc. So, I've lived at both ends of the spectrum.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In reflecting on that perspective, one huge thought keeps coming to mind. What is our role as "the church"? We have been commanded to "Go &amp;amp; make disciples". Where are disciples made? We (believers in Jesus Christ) are "the church". We come together for Sunday celebrations and small groups to be a family (at it's deepest level) to one another and to be equipped to follow the command we were given to "Go and make disciples". Staying within the confines of our comfortable church environment does not disciples make. The word says, "GO"... Where? Into "ALL THE WORLD".&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The bible also says we are to be a "light in the darkness". What is the purpose of light if there is no darkness to dispell? or better yet...If God desires us to be light, doesn't that somehow require us go into the darkness?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We "christians" spend great time and energy on producing the best Easter &amp;amp; Christmas services possible. Why? Because we are told these are the two times of the year that people who would not normally walk in the doors of a church will come. I do not disagree with this philosophy. These services are important and people certainly come to know Christ through these services and productions. My thoughts are simply this...If we are willing to pour so much into a "Christian" holiday in an effort to present hope to the few nonbelievers that might show up, what if we poured the same kind of effort into a holiday that we know great numbers of nonbelievers will definitely be participating in? Why is it that we leave this pagan holiday so wide open for the enemy? In the spiritual realm, don't we agree that the battle is great on this night? Is this not a night that hope and life need to be most greatly exemplified in opposition to death &amp;amp; despair? Is this not the darkness our light is designed to illuminate? Shouldn't "the church" individually &amp;amp; corporately embrace this opportunity? Why is it we sit back and expect nonbelievers to come to us for the light rather than taking our light to them? We desire so greatly to see people come to know Christ, yet we fear stepping outside our doors to facilitate this great change.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How does "the church" make the biggest difference on this night? Is it through corporate church events like trunk or treats, individually going out in our neighborhoods and building relationships with those around us, or praying as the Holy Spirit leads for the people we encounter? I don't know the answers, I simply believe this night is about more than a choice whether or not to participate. The question to ask ourselves is, Will I be a light? and How/where can our family be best used by God on this night?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have not forgotten the responsibility we have to our own children in this. Children understand good &amp;amp; evil at a young age, an ability God has built into them. We expose them to it over and over again in so many ways, without much thought. Whether we choose to participate in Halloween or not, they are bombarded with the Holiday in every store we take them into, at school, etc. With Ella, I want her to love Jesus and desire to share him with others. I want her to have a heart for the lost. I want her to know that the enemy is real and does not want them to know Jesus. I want her to understand that the enemy has already lost the battle and she has absolutely nothing to fear. I want her to be so confident in her faith &amp;amp; knowledge of Jesus, that she can walk into the darkness in the strength and power of the Holy Spirit and command the enemy to leave. I want her to so desire... (Wow, I just got challenged by the Spirit on this one, so I'll hold that thought for another post : )&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How will Keith &amp;amp; I use the Halloween experience to help facilitate this kind of heart in her? I'm not sure...that's a conversation we as parents need to sit down and have. What I do know is I want to grow her in the spirit and don't want it to simply be a holiday about playing dress up and getting candy. So, were talking movies at home (generally from the Mooresville library or the Andersen library) , games, and anything else that seems to be exciting to Ella at the time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our 1st Family Fun Night was this past Thursday.  We had planned movie night, but Ella decided she was not interested in a movie.  Seems she figured since she had our undivided attention, she would make it worth her while.  So, we started our new tradition with play dough, Candyland, Go Fish, and Memory Match.  Then we ended our night with Oreo's and milk...YUM!  We had a great time and Ella was obviously thrilled to have our undivided attention for several hours.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's to Family Fun Night!! I've been looking forward to the movie and was not disappointed.  How great is it that there are people willing to pour their money into a film that has such potential to change lives?  No, it wasn't the film quality of The Dark Knight, but it spoke volumes of depth regarding love, marriage, life with Christ, forgiveness, family, and so much more! &lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;I am left quite introspective...so many thoughts going through my head tonight...Do I show my husband how much I love him on a daily bases?  or do I take our relationship and commitment to the covenant we made 15 years ago for granted?  Do I champion my husband?  Is he my priority or do I put other things before him?  Do I invest in him?  What changes do I need to make to Fireproof my marriage??  Am I speaking into the lives of those around me?  Am I using my influence in a way that honors my Lord? I know...dinner at Red Rocks, a walk to Walgreens, good &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: bold;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt;adult&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:small;"&gt; conversation and coke on a park bench may not seem all that wild to you, but in the world of Mommy's / Pastor's wives - it ROCKS. They are all incredible wives and mom's and are all so gifted and talented.  God has put together an incredible Lead Team at Mosaic. Keith &amp;amp; I are so blessed to be part of that team. These girls inspire me!  They are real, they are fun, they are committed, and they seriously care about each other. He is gorgeous!  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: italic;"&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:medium;"&gt;Us Turner girls sure do make beautiful babies &lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-style: normal;"&gt;; )&lt;/span&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span"  style="font-size:medium;"&gt;He's a healthy, strong little man - check out his 10 Little Toes aren't they the cutest things!  Everything checks out...10 toes, 10 fingers and all the other necessary parts.  I have had such a great time helping them get set up and playing with Logan. We made it back from Greenville tonight.  Had an awesome time visiting my sis and really enjoyed swimming and spending some time in downtown Greenville last night.  It's really a beautiful town.  That said, we are so glad to be home hanging out with Daddy.  We missed him lots while we were gone!  Ella's first request was for me to put her in Daddy's chair and cover her up.  Five minutes later - sound asleep.  Safety and security at it's best : )  &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;img style="display:block; As of October 14th (6 years to the date from our 1st official SonLight Fellowship service in 2001), it became official...Race City Church merged with Mosaic Church of Charlotte, NC. It has been a wonderful time of transition and relationship building. Incredibly, everyone at RCC has been excited about the merger and we have not had one single negative response. Outside of a couple of families that simply live too far away to travel to Mosaic (at exit 18) each week, everyone has made the transition - we have such an incredible church family! Why did we merge? So that we could be more effective at accomplishing the mission God has called us to for His Kingdom. With more people volunteering and greater resources, we can make more of difference in our area for Christ. What does RCC have to offer Mosaic? A heart for relationships, our deep family connection, and seasoned leadership. Our people have so much to offer, they all genuinely care for others, and they desire to make a difference for Christ. It doesn't get anymore real than this wonderful group of people.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What does all this mean for the Devine's? As of November 1st, Keith will be part of the Pastoral Staff of Mosaic. It's an awesome opportunity for him and he is excited to get started. We have already been so blessed by the relationships we are building at Mosaic - they have cared for us so well throughout this transition process and the way they have reached out to our RCC family has been incredible. We already feel like part of the family and that means so much to us!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As for me...I have the opporunity to focus on being my husband's wife and Ella's Mommy first and foremost, with waaay fewer distractions. I will be able to take the time to seek out where God would have me serve as a part of Mosaic and how I can be most effective for the Kingdom without being spread too thin. My prayer is that it means more peace, more productivity, and an opportunity to go deeper in my walk with Christ - on a personal level first and then as a part of the Mosaic family.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;God confirmed this merger in our hearts and the hearts of those we have been working with at Mosaic in so many ways, one of which was to provide us a buyer for our building before we even put the building on the market. How huge!!! We close this Friday, November 2nd. Another huge confirmation was a prophecy given to Keith at a Wednesday morning prayer meeting with other local Pastors. A man visited that morning and gave several words of prophecy. He gave Keith a scripture...Ezekiel 37:15-28, you can read it &lt;a href="http://bibleresources.bible.com/passagesearchresults2.php?passage1=Ezekiel+37&amp;amp;book_id=33&amp;amp;version1=31&amp;amp;tp=48&amp;amp;c=37"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. This came in the midst of our discussions with Naeem and as we were praying for confirmation that this was the direction God would have us take RCC. Doesn't get anymore clear than that!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All I can say is, "Thank you God for your blessings and provision. Thank you for your direction. Thank you for your confirmation. Thank you for blessing our family (not just Keith, Ella, and I - our RCC family). Thank you for the lives that have been changed through this ministry and thank you for the lives that are going to be changed as we move forward. Then we made plans to celebrate our 14th anniversary (Tuesday, June 26th) with a trip to Charleston for the week and a nice dinner out while my sister spent some quality time with Ella. As it often seems to be with great plans, we ran into a pretty big snag on Saturday the 23rd. Some friends came by to pick up our 4-wheeler (we had sold it to them). Keith pulled it out of the garage to help them load it and decided to run it down the street right in front of the house to make sure all systems were a go. Don't know how it happened because I was inside giving Ella a bath and our friends didn't see the whole thing either, but somehow Keith lost control of the ATV and had a face to face confrontation with the asphalt. He managed to get up, come inside and call me downstairs. I found him covered in blood, obviously needing stitches in his nose. Then, the questions started. What happened? What did I do? Why didn't Mandy come down when I called her? Sure signs of a head injury...(his second). Needless to say, I grabbed Ella out of the tub, threw some clothes on her and rushed him to the emergency room. BTW, outside of a slightly bent handle bar, the 4-wheeler made it through the accident just fine - which of course means that Keith took the brunt of the fall. His injuries included a broken nose with stitches in it, lots of bad looking road rash, a very sore right arm and shoulder with a possible fracture in his hand, bruised kidneys, and a head injury reflected by a large bruise on his forehead. So we spent the night in the hospital and settled in at home on Sunday for a week of recovery rather than a week of celebration in Charleston. I must say, it could have been so much worse than it was and after 14 years I'm pretty attached to my man, so I was just glad to have him here with me on our anniversary. Now we are in the process of recovery and praying that the lingering affects of the head injury and his other injuries will soon pass and he will be good as new! Keith's birthday is coming up on July 25th and hopefully we will be able to find some beach time to celebrate then.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's amazing how a freak accident like this puts everything in perspective. I realize how blessed I am to have my husband by my side even for a moment. Even the things that we considered "big things" going on look so much smaller now from my viewpoint. You know, the Lord doesn't promise us tomorrow. He doesn't promise us that we will have our loved ones tomorrow. The only thing we can bank on is that we have this moment - right now - and what we do with it really does matter. Keith and I found a quote the other day that said, "What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it." If I take a look at my life and put everything in perspective, are my priorites in line? Am I spending my time on the really valuable things in the this life? Am I loving and encouraging my spouse? Am I training up my child in the Lord? Am I operating as a light in the darkness of everyday life for others? Am I going about the busyness of the day...or am I going about God's business for me today?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What I know is I don't want to miss the truly important things of life...not a moment with my husband, my daughter, or my family...not a moment of God's plan for my life. I want to live the abundant life I have been given right here and right now. I grew up with an incredible Dad who was always an integral part of my life.  He's always been my hero &amp; example - a man of character who walks in integrity and teaches His children to love and respond to the Lord.  Of course, as most girls do, I desired to marry a man as much like my Dad as possible.  Let me tell you...I believe the Lord placed that desire in me, and 14 years ago this month gave me the desire of my heart.  While Keith and my Dad are very different in a lot of ways, they are so much alike in the things that really matter in this life - men who's lives belong to Christ, men of character, true to their word, walking in integrity, living out humility, taking responsibility for their mistakes, standing strong in the face of adversity, and standing firm in the midst of war waged by the enemy.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am amazed as I watch my husband love and pour into our beautiful little girl.  He is an incredible Dad and I know that one day she too will be looking to spend the rest of her life with a man like her father.   I am even more amazed as I watch him love, pastor, and disciple the people God has placed his life. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;They say, "If you want to know a man...really know who he is...ask His wife."  I say, "you live with someone for 14 years and you know...really know who he is."  Without question, my husband is a wonderful, loving husband and father, a faithful friend, a man of God, a wonderful teacher, a loving pastor, a great example of what it means to 'walk the walk', a humble servant leader, and a trustworthy partner in Christ! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So Keith, your girls say to you today...be encouraged, know that you are loved beyond measure, know that you are honored today for being all of these things and more. There was a lot going on, but it was all so much fun. First, my sister came in on Friday night and stayed with us until Saturday. She wanted to practice some preschool assessments on Ella before she began doing them officially on Monday. It was really a neat thing to watch and I am proud to say that my girl is a pretty smart little cookie! She knew things I didn't realize she knew. We had a really good time with Michelle and wish she could of stayed longer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Saturday was my niece Kaitlyn's High School graduation. My niece Jordyn had graduated the Thursday night before. Props to my girls for all their hard work! I can't wait to see where the Lord takes them from here. They are incredible young ladies. This week they are cruising to the Bahamas to celebrate. Hope they are having a blast! (btw, they were four when Keith &amp;amp; I got married - 14 years ago). Okay, I feel oollllddd. We enjoyed the graduation ceremony and the family time after.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then Saturday night we went to a cookout at the home of some friends along with the other ladies from our Thursday morning bible study and their families. It was a blast. Tad &amp;amp; Leah Beth are great hosts. We ate some awesome food, played some kickball, talked and laughed. My girl is almost 2 years old</title><content type='html'>It's hard to believe I am already planning for Ella's 2nd birthday party.  She is growing up so fast, and there is absolutely nothing she doesn't say at this point.  We have decided to spend a couple days at a &lt;a href="http://dannicholas.net"&gt;park&lt;/a&gt; in the area that has tons of great things for kids.  We will camp with the grandparents (Keith's parents) on the lake 3 nights and, on Saturday, we have rented a shelter to have her official party.  Everyone coming can plan a full family day if they want and meet us at the shelter for a lunch cookout and celebration.  It is going to be so much fun for Ella and her friends. We do a lot of things together, but nothing just for the sheer enjoyment of it. He presented some options and asked what I thought (one of which I have always wanted to do). So, it looks like it's official...we are entering the world of street bikes, leather, and weekend rides. YES, a motorcycle...S&lt;em&gt;weet&lt;/em&gt;! We prayed for the Lord to provide us with something we could afford without going into debt for it. We have decided on a '82 Honda cb900custom (just like the one in the picture above)...it's an older bike, in great condition, low mileage, a good "first time" street bike for us. God has blessed us with a great bike at a great price.  It's georgeous! GREAT Stuff!! What I got out of it: 1) We were all created to worship and will worship something or someone 2) Who &amp;amp; what we worship is not defined by what we say, but by the way we live ("we don't say to God our worship, we live to God our worship") 3)We are all great worshippers...the question, - What is the object of our worship? 4)If worship is determined by our walk, then we must take an honest look at the trail of our time, affection, emotion, investment, allegiance, devotion, belongings, etc. - at the end we find a throne with someone or something on it - Is that someone the God of the Universe? or myself, my family, my achievements, my goals, etc.?&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What a great reminder and opportunity to evaluate my personal worship and move closer to becoming the "True Worshipper" God seeks. (John 4: 23-24) "someone who has the thing of ultimate value (God) in the center of their affections. Who, with their life, is a light declaring the greatness of God to a fallen world and living a lifestyle that will show that he is God in heaven and worthy of all praise." (Louie Giglio)&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Question...What holds the place of highest value in your life? This trip marks the next exciting step in their journey to long term missions in Africa.  We are so excited to see God opening so many doors for them. My younger sister is graduating from her Masters program at the Citadel (Way to go Michelle). I am so proud of her! The ceremony isn't until Sunday afternoon, but there was no way I could pass up a couple extra days of fun in the sun. Kim (my older sister) and Harry left for a cruise to the Bahamas today, so Ella and I get the house to ourselves until Friday night when the rest of my family comes down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, back to the beach...I was laying on the beach today (Ella was napping) just thinking about how different it feels from the everyday grind. A great breeze, warm sun, the relaxation of listening to the waves breaking, the breathtaking beauty of it all. If only everyday life could be/feel like this! The only thing I would choose to lose is the sand, or at least it's annoying qualities (grit, stick-to-&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;itiveness&lt;/span&gt;, etc.) My question...Why in the midst of all that beauty, relaxation, and soul comfort, would God use grit to top it off? Doesn't he realize that mothers of toddlers will be coming (mothers that really struggle with the feeling of sand)? Doesn't he know that those toddlers are going to dig themselves a hole, dive in head first, and come out saying "hold you Mommy"... a request no loving mother can possibly say "NO" to. Doesn't he know that Mommy is going to pick up the toddler, who feels like sandpaper, and rub herself raw as she proceeds toward the water to rinse them both off (an effort that goes very unappreciated by the toddler who often prefers sand to water). What was He thinking??&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Seriously...we had a great time at the beach today, relaxed, played, jumped waves, began reading a new book (God's Favorite House by Tommy &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Tenney&lt;/span&gt; - so far, really good), ate lunch, napped, and more! Ella was fearless and loved the water and of course...the SAND. Me...water was great, sand - not so much! Really missed my hubby though and Ella talked about Daddy all day. Anyway...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;What a great weekend! It all started Friday afternoon. I was on my way back to &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;Mooresville&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; from &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;Huntersville&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, called Keith to find out what his plans were when he finished up at the school around 2:15. I figured he was planning to go straight to the church to work for the afternoon...the typical plan. We talked briefly, confirming that he was in fact planning to work that afternoon. I had planned to take Ella to the park for lunch &amp;amp; some play time, but decided that I would go and help Keith prepare for &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;&lt;span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2"&gt;RCC's&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt; Saturday financial seminar instead so he could come home earlier. I called him back and much to my pleasant surprise, he had decided to go in early Saturday morning to work and come home instead. I told him my plans for the park and we decided to meet there for some play time.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;The park was great. Beautiful day, warm and sunny with a nice cool breeze...perfect! Ella played and played and we enjoyed some much needed family time. Then Saturday after the seminar, we spent time talking and hanging out at home, cleaning out the garage, going to dinner with some of our closest friends, followed by some great deck time (which I personally love), deep conversation, and awesome coffee. Sunday afternoon we had more family time and then went out for ice cream Sunday night. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;While this may sound normal for many of you, this kind of family time is hard to come by for a church planting Pastor working two jobs. It was an incredible weekend for us. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;The greatest part...the enemy orchestrated a weekend of attack for us that backfired on him. What he intended for evil, God used for good in our family bringing us closer together, reminding us what's really important, and bringing us to a deeper place of &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3"&gt;like mindedness&lt;/span&gt; in this journey. We are still working through this strategic attack of the enemy on the unity of the body of Christ, yet I am happy to say, &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;he lost a huge battle this weekend&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;, because the unity of our family has been strengthened once again to it's core...we are still one in Spirit and completely focused on God's will for our family and calling on our lives! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;My God &lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;IS&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/span&gt;a great big God!! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;em&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153);"&gt;Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! She proceeded to share with me the few details known at the time of what was happening. I had not had my television on, so had not yet seen the reports. Her brother, who was supposed to be in class in the Engineering building that morning, had decided to skip class. Praise God he was in the "wrong place at the right time!" and that his friends were all safe as well. This whole thing weighs heavy on all of us and we will never be able to make sense of it all.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can't seem to put my thoughts into words, but I read a &lt;a href="http://perrynoble.com/2007/04/19/i-am-pod"&gt;post&lt;/a&gt; today, (recommended by a friend - &lt;a href="http://myklj.blogspot.com"&gt;Mike Jones&lt;/a&gt;) that summed it up so well.  All I can say is, "Amen!" I can only pray that this &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0"&gt;tragedy&lt;/span&gt; brings forth the same passionate response in every believer out there. We don't have time to waste, we can't continue to blindly walk past people everyday that need to know Christ and allow busyness, fear, or anything else to stand in the way of us doing what we have been commissioned by God to do...Give them Jesus!! By that I mean, "What's This...Mommy....What's This...Mommy, &lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Mommy&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span style="font-size:180%;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MOMMY&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;!...&lt;strong&gt;What's This&lt;/strong&gt;."  24/7, every second, every day...So, I ask you Moms out there what are some constructive ways to channel this incredible time of learning so that by the end of the day you're not ready to pull your hair out for hearing the questions and MOMMY demands.  It is a great time and amazing how much they learn during these windows, but this one can get a bit taxing by the end of the day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This morning...in an effort to keep things peaceful for a while I decided we would make Ella's scrambled eggs together.  I kept her informed each step of the way what everything was and exactly what we needed to do...she stirred, added the salt &amp; pepper, and even help scramble them (briefly of course).  We topped them with cheese, and sat down to enjoy a &lt;span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1"&gt;scrumptious&lt;/span&gt; breakfast.  An entire 45 minutes...no, "&lt;strong&gt;Mommy, what's this&lt;/strong&gt;." It was a great service all the way around. (check out the RCC Staff blog &lt;a href="http://racecitychurch.blogspot.com"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; to find out more) I had lunch with a friend after church and then came home to crash and spend the rest of the day relaxing and doing as little as possible. Ella was spent because she didn't sleep well last night (which of course means I didn't sleep well either)and we had to be at church at 8am, so a nap was definitely in the line up! We had lots of time to play too...it was really nice.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I am so looking forward to my hubby's return tomorrow. I've decided I don't like it when he's gone for more than a day or two. This 8 day thing is a bit much. He has been missed! Hard to believe how fast she has grown.   She is talking like crazy now.  One thing that amazes me about her is that she is constantly following anything I do for her (no matter how insignificant) with, "Thank you Mommy...".  I've really been shocked at how appreciative she is of even the smallest effort on my part.  I gave her a box of animal cookies in the grocery store the other day to occupy her and keep her-I mean me-sane while we shopped, (I know...your saying "COOKIES?" - Hey, you gotta go with what works sometimes!)   My point is that her initial response was, "Thank you Mommy."  One that is pretty much expected in the Devine home, but it was the thank you's following every cookie she put in her mouth that really melted my heart. (I would have given her a gallon of ice cream at that point, but don't tell her that!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So pondering this got me thinking, how many of the seemingly insignificant things in our lives do we take for granted?  We just keep on keeping on, without a lot of thought to so much that happens during our day.   What if we took the time to really pay attention - to stop and say, "Thank you" for all the little every day blessings God provides.  That's a huge part of living a life of worship everyday.  Once again...my little girl inspires me! Happy Birthday Esther!  How cool to hear from her.  It's been a long time, but I still enjoy keeping up with her IL crew through their blogs.  It was good to get to see them when they visited NC a few weeks ago. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for the encouragement on this whole Birthday thing Esther.  I feel the same way inside...I still feel like the little girl full of energy who couldn't wait to take on the world, and now I have a little girl of my own.  Wow! &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As Esther so beautifully put it...our spirits were created to live forever with God - it's just our house that gets old. I was surprised at how hard it hit.  I began asking all those reflective questions about life.  What have I been doing these last 39 years?  What do I have to show for it?  Have I really been used for God's glory? How in the world am I going to have 2.2 more kids before 40?  Will my body ever feel 25 again or better yet can it ever LOOK 25 again?  Where do I go from here?  How much time do I have left?  What dreams am I holding on to and will I ever see them come to fruition?  Why do I have feel this sense of urgency sitting on my chest?  &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;Oh My Gosh&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;...my life could be half over (realizing of course it could also end tomorrow)!  The positive I grabbed hold of was that I am part of a family of long lifer's.  My Grandparents have all lived to be in their 90's.  Only a couple of major medical issues can be found on either side.  So, the way I figure it, I have at least 40 more years to go!  40 years should give me plenty of time for any "do overs" I deem necessary!  40 years to see my dreams fulfilled.  40 years to affect the lives of my children!  40 years to make a difference for the Kingdom!  AT LEAST 40 years...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Barring any unforeseen events...&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Unless of course, my Prince shows up on His great white stallion and takes me away to live happily ever after with Him in Paradise. Then I got to thinking that I have not had one day where Ella and I have had to ask the question, "Where's My Peeps?" My "peeps" have been right here for us the whole time he's been gone! God is good and he has orchestrated this time beautifully. I can't say thanks enough to my "peeps" for being there for Ella and I. I look forward to spending time with more of them this weekend. (You gotta come to God's country every now and then!) They were here to visit and to talk to Race City Church about their upcoming mission trip to Africa. We love having them here and everytime they leave us to return to Florida, we miss them even more than before. Friends like Alan &amp;amp; Tywonn are a rare breed. It seems like it gets harder and harder to find people who truly are committed to real relationship. You know, the iron sharpens iron, &lt;em&gt;here for each other through thick and thin&lt;/em&gt;, unconditional love, know you better than anyone else kind. They truly have been there for us every step of the way, and I can only hope and pray that we have served our friendship as well as they have! &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Keith &amp; I talk about "real" relationship all the time. It is so great to have a relationship with someone you can share anything with...the good, bad, and ugly...and know that they will not use that info/circumstance to judge or question your character because they have taken the time to get to know you at a heart level and desire most to encourage your spiritual growth. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;If you don't have a realtionship like this...I encourage you to find one! You will never be the same! She's talking so much and has become so loving lately. Night before last as she played, she made repeated trips back and forth between Keith and I to hug and kiss us followed by a big "I Luv Voo" Mommy (or Daddy), dancing, spinning, and acting silly as she went. Our hearts swelled and we of course joyfully sat and soaked in as much loving as she wanted to give out! Something indescribable happens inside a mother and father when they hear that beautiful little voice say "I Luv Voo" (and then to hear it over and over...Wow!).  After putting her to bed, she continued to call out to us just so we would ask the anticipated question "What dear?"...her license to add just one more "I Luv Voo" before the end of the day. I'm telling you, all that loving made me long to be with her even more.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As I processed my day, It was apparent to me how our Daddy in heaven must feel when we pour out our "I Love You's" on him. That's where I want to be, repeatedly pouring out I Love You's in childish abandon on my God. Dancing, spinning, and rejoicing without even taking pause to consider what the P.D.A. (Public Displays of Adoration...as Tommy Tenny calls it)Police may think. I knew this "Devine" guy was for me, so I chose to marry him and we have now been married 13 1/2 years, have a beautiful little girl and are working on the "happily ever after". My husbands father was a Pastor, my husband is a Pastor, and his brother is a Pastor. What a legacy! I have truly been blessed with "Devine" Inspiration over the years as Keith and his brother have sought God's will for their lives and their families. As great as that is, what I really &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;seek&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; in my every day life is &lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:130%;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;divine&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; inspiration. That which comes from the Spirit of God himself.
